As the pace of our lives seems to be ever increasing, stress can accumulate in our body and lead to negative implications both on our physical and mental health. In this course, we will explore various practices designed to regain balance through yoga and mindful movement, breathing exercises and meditation. These types of exercises can directly influence our nervous system, create some welcome pauses in our habitual thinking patterns and increase our energy and well-being.

This class is designed to suit any level of familiarity with yoga and mindfulness.

  • Mindful Movement: Gentle exercises to ground yourself and come home to your body

  • Concentration Practices: Techniques to strengthen your focus and attention, elevate your energy and bring peace to your mind

  • Cultivating Kindness and Compassion: Practices to nurture self-acceptance and self-care

  • Inquiry: Practices to dive into self discovery opening up new possibilities of ways of seeing, being and relating.

Nicole Keller is a yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher and has been practicing both for many years. She experienced burnout in 2021 and had a first hand experience in using the practices taught in this course to help her find her balance again. She graduated as a yoga teacher with Ásta Arnardóttir in Yogavin in 2022, and recently graduated from a mindfulness meditation teached certification program led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. In her practice she focusses on the connection between the body, the mind, the souls and the environment and creates a safe environment for the participants to investigate and strenghen this connection.

Nicole is also a geochemist and worked for almost two decades as an academic, before moving to climate related issues at the icelandic environment and energy agency.
